Riverview Baptist
Celebrate Recovery will be at Riverview Baptist Church Sunday at 6 p.m. for a program.
The church is located at 1419 Broad St. The Rev. Mark Grubb is pastor.

First Christian
Minister Michael Klaus will have the message Sunday at the 9:45 a.m. worship service at First Christian Church, Elizabethton. He will continue the sermon series “Power In His Name.”
David Mills will serve as worship leader, and Gary White will have the communion meditation. Judy Donley will read scripture and Gene Estep will provide special music.
The Sunday evening service is at 6 p.m.
Bible study will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Long Hollow Baptist
Special singing will be held Saturday at 6 p.m. at Long Hollow Baptist Church, Valley Forge. Featured will be the Evangelaires.

New Liberty
High school graduates Madison Coleman (Daniel Boone High School) and Kennedy Morelock (Elizabethton High) will be recognized Sunday at the 11 a.m. worship service at New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church. Also, the Solid Rock Trio will be singing old time and Southern favorites in song.
Bible school will begin Sunday evening and continue through Wednesday with classes from 6:30 to 8:30 each evening. The theme is “Camp Courageous” focusing on Old Testament heroes of the Bible.

Borderview
Borderview Christian Church, 1338 Bristol Highway, will host the multi-talented Tommy and John Thomas Oaks for a special day of worship and drama Sunday, May 5.
Morning worship at 10:45 a.m. will feature music by John Thomas and preaching by Tommy. The evening serving at 6 p.m. will feature “Star Queen,” an original musical by the Oaks Duo.
The musical is a biblically-based pop opera on the life and times of Queen Esther, who heroically saves the Israelite nation during their exiles in Babylon.
There will be a pre-show program at 5:30 p.m.
The public is invited to attend.
Choral Club Concert
The spring concert of the Elizabethton Choral Club will be presented Monday, May 6, at 7:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 212 E. F St.
The free concert is a musical gift to the community, and the public is cordially invited.
Fairview Baptist
Revival will be held at Fairview Baptist Church, beginning Sunday, May 5, and continuing through Wednesday, May 8.
The service will begin at 6 p.m. on Sunday, and Monday through Wednesday services will be at 7 p.m.
The evangelist is Pastor Mike Sage of Freedom Tabernacle Baptist Church, Atkins, Va.
Special music will be presented each night. Among featured groups are Carson Peters and Iron Mountain, The Greens with the Gray Station Praise Team, and other musicians from Fairview Baptist.
Moore’s Chapel
The youth of Moore’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church will have a fundraiser Saturday, May 4, at 6 p.m. at the church picnic shed.
Special music will be presented by Southern Harmony and Forgiven.
Also, there will be barbecue sandwiches and hotdogs.
In case of rain, the event will be moved to the fellowship hall.
The church is located at the 13-mile marker on Highway 91.
The pastor, Richard Blevins, invites the public to attend.
Sims Hill Christian
Revival will be held at Sims Hill Christian Church, 206 Sims Hill Road, May 5-8.
The guest speaker is Bud Gentry of Dewey Christian Church, Mountain City.
Sunday services will begin at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Following the Sunday morning service, dinner will be served in the fellowship hall.
Services Monday through Wednesday will begin at 7 p.m.
The Sunday evening service will feature special music by the Longs from Shady Valley.
Other special music will include Tammy Howard of West Side Christian Church, Monday; Sunshine from East Side Christian and Sims Hill Christian, Tuesday; and Jake Jenkins, Valley Forge Christian, Wednesday.

Upper Gap Creek
Sacred Journey will sing at the Upper Gap Creek Freewill Baptist Church, 1380 Dry Creek Road, Sunday, May 5, at 11 a.m.

First United Methodist
“Mr. Saul, Meet the Master,” is the title of Sunday’s sermon at First United Methodist Church, Elizabethton. The message by Pastor Raymond Amos, Sr. is based on Luke 9: 28-36.
The worship service begins at 9:55 a.m. Communion will be served commemorating the third Sunday of Easter.
Sunday School is at 11:20 a.m.
The Junior High Student Ministries will meet Sunday from 4:12 to 5:25 p.m. and the Senior High Ministries from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. The Coolagers will meet Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Life Lessons will be taught Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall.

Pinecrest Baptist
The children and youth of Washoto Baptist Church of Pineville, Ky., will present a play Sunday at 6 p.m. at Pinecrest Baptist Church.
The play was written and is directed by Cortney Carroll of Calvin, Ky.
