Thomas Noble “TN” Taylor

Thomas Noble “TN” Taylor,  71, of Elizabethton, passed away Monday, March 18, 2019, at his residence following an extended illness.

A native of Austin, Ind., he had lived in Carter County most of his life and was a son of the late Lawrence and Hildred Grindstaff Taylor.

TN served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a retired mechanic and was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy, and a special friend, Ronald Campbell.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Carden Taylor, a daughter, Donna Taylor,  a granddaughter, Mesha Mann and husband Tori, two great-grandchildren, Wyatt Blevins and Shelby Mann, all of Elizabethton; two sisters, Betty Bowers and husband Randy, Elizabethton, and Lois Hickey and husband Shaun, Destin, Fla.; two brothers, Herman Taylor and wife Beverly and Ricky Taylor; several nieces and nephews; and his special friends, Walter Williams, Kenneth Lowe and Dallas Peters.

The graveside service will be conducted at noon on Friday, March 22, in the Garland Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Blevins officiating. Interment will follow the service. Active pallbearers will be Seth Taylor, Tori Mann, Wyatt Blevins, Arthur Carden and special friends. Military Honors will be provided by the Carter County Honor Guard. Friends may also visit with the family at his residence. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 11:50 a.m. Friday.
