Local athletes to compete in FCA All-Star Game

Today, Carter County football players will get to lace up for some postseason action.
Eight players from Carter County will compete in the FCA All-Star game at Dobyns-Bennett High School. The contest was originally scheduled to be played at Emory & Henry.
From Elizabethton, Nic Miller, Clay Gwinn, Aidan Taylor, Carter Everett will play on the West team alongside Happy Valley’s Dakota Cochran and Luke Naylor.
The West team will be coached by Cyclones head coach Shawn Witten. Witten will be joined by Brock Pittman and Jordy Harrison as coaches over the West team.
The East team, which is being coached by Virginia High’s Michael Crist, will feature Unaka’s John “Boy” Ramsey and Devon Jarrett.
Kick off is slated for 1 p.m.
