James Raymond Perdue

James Raymond Perdue, 66, of Elizabethton, passed away Friday, November 23, 2018, at his residence.
A native of Perry, Ga., he was a son of the late Thomas and Lula Dobbs Perdue. He had lived in Carter County for several years.
James was a retired carpenter and construction worker. He actively served in Vietnam during the Vietnam Conflict in the United States Marine Corps.
Survivors include one son, James Trenton Perdue and wife Erin, Decatur, Tenn.; one step-son, Jesse Otis Pitcock and fiancée Whitney Collins, Bluff City; his grandchildren, James Landon Perdue, Trinity Rose Perdue, Eean Rhoads Pitcock, Izabella Shea Pitcock and Alita Rose Duncan; the mother of his step-son, Judie Perdue, Elizabethton; three sisters, Gail Davis, Ten Mile, Tenn., Eveline Dukes, Atlanta, Ga., and Betty Pittman, Fort Valley, Ga.
The graveside service for Mr. Perdue will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 29, in the Mountain Home National Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Street officiating. Interment will follow the service. Pallbearers will be Trenton Perdue, Jesse Pitcock, Landon Perdue and Eean Pitcock. Military Honors will be provided by the Carter County Honor Guard. Friends may visit with the family at the residence of Judie Perdue, 502-A West F Street, Elizabethton, at any time. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 12:50 p.m. Thursday.
