Hampton’s Tuelle sees floor time at DI Campbell

The Campbell University women’s’ basketball team is four games into the 2018-19 season, and the Camels have worked themselves out to a 3-1 mark after dispatching their last three opponents.
Getting in on some of the action is former Hampton Lady Bulldogs standout Shyanne Tuelle. Over her first four games as a freshman at Campbell University, Tuelle has seen 65 minutes of floor time.
So far, Tuelle has scored 13 points overall while pulling down 10 rebounds over her four games. Her best performance came during the Camels’ 57-49 win over Norfolk State on Tuesday. During that game, Tuelle had four points, four rebound, and one assist while clocking 16 minutes of play.
During her time at Hampton, Tuelle racked up a career 1,750 points, 950 rebounds, 705 assists, 160 steals, and 145 blocks.
Tuelle and the Camels were back in action Friday night at against Omaha in Miami, Florida. The Camels will play FIU/Florida A&M Sunday also in Florida.
Kelci Marosites hits double digits for
Carson Newman
Former Elizabethton standout Kelci Marosites had 13 points during the Lady Eagles 90-86 win over Clayton Tuesday.
Marosites was one rebound away from picking up a double-double as she pulled down nine boards.
Her sister, Kayla, had seven points and seven rebound during the win.
The Lady Eagles are currently 5-0 on the season and will be back on the court this Sunday at Columbus State.
Hampton’s Hill racks up 11 points for
Johnson University
Former Lady Bulldog Kinzey Hill went 3-for-3 from the arc during the Johnson University’s 97-70 loss to the University of the Cumberlands this past Saturday.
Hill finished the game with 11 points overall.
Johnson University will host Hiwassee on Nov. 29.
