Myra R. Eicher

The family of Myra R. Eicher of Elizabethton, Tenn., sadly announces her passing on July 22, 2018. Myra was the widow of Robert D. Eicher, who preceded her in death in 2015.
Myra was born in New Orleans, La., on August 5, 1927 and moved to Swanton, Ohio in 1946 when she and Robert were married. In 1976 they relocated to Tennessee in anticipation of retirement.
In addition to her husband, Myra was preceded in death by her parents, Bertha and Francis Behan; sisters, Norma Heurtin, Delores Baker and Kathleen Wild, and brother, John Behan.
Surviving children are daughter, Karen and John Pollauf of Millbury, Ohio, son, Terry Eicher of Elizabethton, Tenn., and daughter, Trudy and Chris Colbaugh of Elizabethton, Tenn. Surviving grandchildren are Shane, Ashley, Elizabeth, Robert, Luis and Cameron. She also leaves behind beloved great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Myra R. Eicher will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 26, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Greg Key, minister, and the Rev. Terry Richardson officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 27, at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 2:20 p.m. Friday, will be Luke White, Jessie Pitcock, Taylor Petty and Chris Colbaugh. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 2:20 p.m. Friday.
