Judy Ann Birchfield Kuhn, 71, Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018 in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Howard & Mabel Ellis Birchfield. Judy was formerly employed as a CNA. She was a member of Southside Free Will Baptist Church and a former member of Keenburg Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister: Sandra Kay Birchfield, Two brothers: Randall Wayne Birchfield, and Powell Ellis, her Maternal Grandparents: Dave & Minnie Ellis and her Paternal Grandparents: Dave & Delia Garland Birchfield and her in-laws: William McKinley Kuhn & Evelyn Bunton Kuhn.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years: Bill Kuhn, daughter: Stephanie Bare & husband David, Son: Arden Kuhn & wife Crystal, Sister: Peggy & husband Dr. Jack L. Holly, Jr., a brother: Kim Birchfield & wife Tammy: her grandchildren: Ryan & Matthew Bare, McKinley & Jayden Kuhn, great granddaughter: Thea, Nieces: Tammi Colbaugh, Tawnya Branch, Melissa Hodge, Ashley Blevins, Allie Gillenwater and a special niece: Jordan Birchfield, Her aunts: Selda Wilson and Gladys Hicks, cousins & special friends: Doris Turner & Hazel Bunten.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mark Street, Rev. Shane Waters and Rev. Steve Burleson officiating. Music will be provided by Season Lusk and Maria Deloach. Honorary Pallbearers include her Nephews: David Ellis, Jason Holly, Travis Holly, Lucas Birchfield, Roger, Brian, Jeff & Tim Bunton and Woody, Tim, Benny & Bo Lyons, the Employees of the City of Elizabethton Water Resources Department. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence of her brother: Kim Birchfield. It was her wish to be cremated.
