Tony Lee White

Tony Lee White, 69, Elizabethton, went to be with his Lord, Tuesday, June 12, 2018 in the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Chalmer & Hazel Garland White. Tony was a graduate of Unaka High School. He served in the United States Army where he received the rank of Sgt. during the Vietnam Era. He was a retired employee of Snap-On-Tool. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Mary Lou Davenport and a brother: Dallas White. He was a member of New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church. Tony loved spending time with his granddaughter and riding his Motorcycle.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years: Dianna Hyder White. A daughter & son-in-law: Lisa & Greg Boehm, Murphy, North Carolina. His Granddaughter: “His little blessing” Ruby. Four Sisters: Belva White, Evelyn Andes and Thelma Nutter & husband James all of Elizabethton and JoAnn Reese & husband Delbert, Knoxville. Two Brothers: Roger White and Richard White & wife Carolyn. Several nieces & nephews. His mother-in-law: Ruby Hyder.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ray Colbaugh and Rev. Nick Colbaugh officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 1 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2018 in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Music will be provided by Solid Rock Trio. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 12:50 p.m. Friday will be: Greg Boehm, Wes Greer, Aaron Greer, Paul Jones, Lynn Peters, and Ronnie Taylor. Honorary Pallbearers will be: His Church family, Allen “Moose” Copeland and Tom Bloom. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veteran P.O. Box 1006, Elizabethton, Tn. 37644. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at his residence.
