Stoney Creek
Stoney Creek Baptist Church, 1843 Highway 91, will have Vacation Bible School June 10-15. Classes will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Registration will be held at 6 p.m. June 10.
There will be classes for children age 4 through 18.

Hopwood Christian
Hopwood Christian Church, located on the campus of Milligan College, has changed its Sunday service times for the months of June and July.
Services on Sunday morning will include Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. and the worship service at 10:30 a.m.

Roan Street Free Will
Vacation Bible School at Roan Street Free Will Baptist Church is concluding this evening.
The VBS commencement program is Sunday at 10:45 a.m. The church is located at 820 N. Roan St. (Blackbottom).

Lynn Valley
Vacation Bible School will be held June 10-15 at Lynn Valley Baptist Church.
Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. and classes will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
The theme for the Bible school is “Gear Up! Get Ready! Game On!” There will be classes for children age three through fifth grade.
A “Rally in the Valley’ for sixth through 12th grade students will be held each evening from 7 to 8 p.m. There will be a dynamic speaker each night with praise style music for worship.

Cobbs Creek
Vacation Bible School at Cobbs Creek Baptist Church, 150 Church St., Butler, will be held June 18-21 with classes daily from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
A block party and registration will be held Saturday, June 16, from 2 to 6 p.m. with games, inflatables, fun and food for all.

Rivers Edge Fellowship
A yard sale to benefit missions will be held Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1200 19E Bypass (across from CVS Pharmacy).
A member of the church said all proceeds will go towards “bringing hope and love to the broken of Southern Asia.”
God’s House Full Gospel
A yard sale will be held at God’s House Full Gospel Church, 1206 State Line Road, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday.

Pleasant Beach
“Camp Moose On The Loose” is the theme for Vacation Bible School this year at Pleasant Beach Baptist Church.
Bible school will be held June 10-14 with classes daily from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. There will be singing, snacks, games, Bible stories, and skits. Thursday night will feature a picnic and waters wars.
Registration will be held each evening at 6:15 p.m. or pre-register during Sunday School at 10 a.m. Sunday.

St. John Free Will
A one-day Vacation Bible School will be held Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m. at St. John Free Will Baptist Church, Roan Mountain.

Vacation Bible Schools
Vacation Bible School is scheduled next week at Unaka Baptist Church June 10-13 with classes from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The kickoff is Saturday from 12 noon to 4 p.m.
Activities will include a bouncy house, picnic, and games. Also, the bloodmobile will be on site for donors.
The theme is “Game On.”
Other Bible Schools include:
• Fairview Baptist, June 10-14, with classes from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday’s sessions will begin at 6 p.m.
• Riverview Baptist, June 10-14, with classes from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Cedar Grove
Each Thursday during June and July, Cedar Grove Baptist Church will host a Kids Book Club from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. The club will be for children, ages five through 12. Activities will include brushing up on reading skills, meeting and making new friends, games, crafts, Bible stories and lunch.
Sunday, gospel singer Christian Anderson will be in concert at the 6 p.m. service after which finger foods will be served.
Also, the church has launched a new Tweetsie Trail Outreach Ministry and is starting a food pantry ministry.

First United Methodist
“Not Divided” based on the scripture Mark 3: 20-35 is the sermon theme for the Sunday morning service June 10 at First United Methodist Church, Elizabethton.
The service will begin at 9:55 a.m. followed by Sunday School at 11:20 a.m.
The 4:12 Junior High Student Ministries will meet Sunday from 4 to 5:25 p.m. and the Senior High Ministries Sunday from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. The Coolagers will meet once a month during the summer. Check with the church office for the time and activity information.
The Wednesday evening Life Lessons Bible Study will be held at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall.

The Brotherhood at Unaka Baptist Church will have a country-style breakfast Saturday from 7 to 10 a.m. The menu will include biscuits, gravy, eggs, two kinds of sausage, bacon, and hash brown potatoes. Other items are available on request.
The cost is $7 with proceeds going to the church building fund.
Watauga Valley
The Golden Group of Watauga Valley Free Will Baptist Church will meet Thursday at 11 a.m. in the church fellowship hall.

First Free Will
The youth of First Free Will Baptist Church will conduct a fundraiser this weekend.
Parking for the Covered Bridge Celebration will be available for a small charge in the church parking lot on Academy Street. Also, hamburgers, hotdogs, chips and drinks will be available to purchase.
All proceeds go toward youth activity expenses.
Moore’s Chapel
Moore’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church will have Vacation Bible School June 10-15 with classes each evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
The theme is “Jungle River Adventure.” Classes will be available for children age three through teens.

Hopson Chapel
A benefit singing for Jacob Singleton will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at Hopson Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 601 Tiger Creek Road, Roan Mountain.
Featured will be the Sounds of Victory.
Jacob, son of Tracy and PJ Singleton, suffered a severe injury while playing baseball for the Cloudland High School baseball team. His medical expenses have reached into the thousands of dollars. A love offering will be received to help with the expenses.
Also, revival will begin Monday at the church, with services nightly at 7 p.m.
The guest speakers will be the Rev. Nathan Jennings of First Free Will Baptist Church, Elizabethton, and the Rev. Andy Patterson.
Special singing will be featured.
The pastor at Hopson Chapel is the Rev. John Harrington.
First Presbyterian
Dr. Brian Wyatt, pastor, will present the sermon Sunday at morning worship at First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton. The service begins at 11 a.m.
An Education Hour for all ages will be at 9:45 a.m.
Other opportunities of the week include Meditation at 7 p.m. Wednesday; Thursdays with Jesus Reading Group from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday. The group is currently reading “The First Paul” by Marcus J. Borg and John Dominic Crossan.
Yoga is Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
