Linda Lee Humphrey Carr

Linda Lee Humphrey Carr, 76, of Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018, at Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Tina Morton Humphrey.
Linda was a graduate of Happy Valley High School and had one year of college at Milligan. She worked as a cook at Happy Valley High School for 21 years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and TOPS.
Linda was a member of Big Springs Church of Christ and attended East Side Free Will Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Humphrey and Sammy Humphrey.
Survivors include Rowe Carr, her husband of 53 years; three children, Jimmy Lee Carr and wife Jamie Kyte-Carr of Johnson City, Tina Renee and husband Justin Deaton of Elizabethton, and Kristie Clara Buchanan of Elizabethton; four grandchildren, Austin Deaton, Landon Deaton, Olivia Carr and Gracelyn Buchanan; two sisters, Kay McGee and husband John and Karen Tester and husband Terry; and two sisters-in-law, Johnnie Dale Humphrey and Betsy Humphrey.
The service for Linda Lee Humphrey Carr will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Terry Lyons officiating. Music will be provided by Bobby McGee. The graveside service and interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers, who are requested to meet at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday, will be Austin Deaton, Landon Deaton and other family members. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In honor of Linda, if you would like, you may wear the color red or a hat to her service. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday to go to the cemetery.
