Elizabethton High School is being investigated by the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury related to allegations of misuse of funds. Because this is an ongoing investigation, no further information is currently available.

“We have conducted a partial investigation and are waiting on outside investigators to conclude our investigation,” said Elizabethton Director of Schools Dr. Corey Gardenhour. “We have made employment decisions based on what we know thus far, and we will continue to cooperate fully with investigators throughout the duration of the investigation.”
