Karen Denise Bogart Burgin

Karen Denise Bogart Burgin, 61, of Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital after an extended illness.
A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Bogart Jr. and Juanita June White Bogart.
Karen attended Happy Valley High School. She loved to cook and go camping.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Marlene Bogart.
Survivors include her soul mate, Samuel “Moose” Phillips; her brother, Douglas Allen Bogart, Johnson City; two sisters, Debra Kay Bowers and Patricia Ann Livesey, both of Johnson City; one niece, Jennifer Livingston; three nephews, Chad Bogart, Shaun Bowers and Jeremy Livingston; and her dog, Daisy.
It was her wish to be cremated. The family will have a visitation from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 5, at the funeral home. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the ICU Staff of Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Friends may also visit with the family at her residence on Bishop Circle.
