With Happy Valley up 6-2 heading into the top of the fifth, the Lady Cougars tried to mount a comeback. Central’s Jasmine Sheffield led off with a ground ball single to center. Holt hit the next batter, Central’s Courtney Willis, (22) with a pitch on a 1-1 count. Holt struck out the next batter before allowing a single by Sydney Snapp (20) on a ground ball to left field loading the bases. Time was called, and after a meeting on the mound, Holt struck out the next two batters to end the inning and snuffed out Centrals hopes of a comeback.

Happy Valley added two runs in the bottom of the sixth to seal the victory. Havner led the way for the Lady Warriors delivering four RBI’s while going 2-of-4 for the game.
