Warriors top Sullivan Central

The Happy Valley Warriors picked up a big conference victory as they topped Sullivan Central at Cannon-Gouge Park Monday.
After the Cougars went up 1-0 in the first the Warriors answered with three runs in the third as Happy Valley’s Landon Morefield hit an RBI double and teammate Nolan Easlic had a 2-RBI double to put Happy Vally up 3-1.
The Warriors recorded two more runs in the sixth inning.
At the mound, Happy Valley’s Easlic earned the win as he tossed for six innings during which he had five hits and two runs against. Easlic finished the game with nine strikeouts. Happy Valley’s Hayden Holtsclaw pitched the last inning as he picked up the save.
Happy Valley finished with eight hits as Warriors Kevin Whitaker and Holtsclaw each had two hits apiece.
The Warriors will travel to Sullivan Central this evening.
