Robert Shawn Jarrett, 32, of Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017.
Robert was a native of Carter County. He had served in the National Guard. He was a former truck driver and was presently employed at Southern Orthocare, Morristown.
Robert was active in his church, Avenue Church, Morristown.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Martin Jarrett, and his grandfather, Norman Jarrett.
Survivors include a son, David Shawn Jarrett, Morristown; his mother and step-father, Junett and Kenneth Harrison, Elizabethton; two brothers, Timothy Jarrett and Kenneth Ray Harrison II, both of Elizabethton; two sisters, Nicole Combs and Christy Wright, both of Elizabethton; his paternal grandmother, Opal Jarrett, Roan Mountain; and his maternal grandmother, Betty Hurley, Elizabethton.
Funeral services for Robert Shawn Jarrett will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, at Memorial Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the McKinley-Jarrett Cemetery, Roan Mountain. Active pallbearers will be Devon Jarrett, Travis Jarrett, Gary Harrison, Kenneth Harrison II, Andrew Scott, Hunter Jarrett, Billy Combs, Bud Honeycutt and Seven Combs. Honorary pallbearers will be his church family. The family will receive friends from noon until 1 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service.
