Citizens from across the region had the opportunity to ring in the holiday season over the weekend for East Tennessee Ballet Academy’s annual performance of “The Nutcracker”. Youth from across the area were able to perform the Christmas mainstay for residents inside Milligan College’s Gregory Center. Along with students, Scott Elliott of the Johnson City Community Theatre played the role of Clara’s uncle, Herr Drosselmeyer. Nationally-renowned peformers Sarah Wilbur and Anthony Savoy also brought a helping to the performances by playing the roles of the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier.
