Dorothy Stockton Roberson, 82, of Roan Mountain, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Johnny and Julie Hughes Stockton.
Mrs. Roberson was a homemaker. She was a member of Sally Cove Creek Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Roy Roberson, November 21, 2001; her brothers, Paul, Marshall, Voyd, Claude and Spencer Stockton; and her sisters, Mary Street, Nola Roberson, Ida Henson and Lois Henson.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Leslie Roberson, Roan Mountain; her special loving companion, Bill McKinney and his family, Pam McKinney, Cynthia McKinney Boles, Greg McKinney and Todd McKinney; a sister, Edna Vance; several nieces and nephews including two special nieces, Pat Roark and Billie Merritt; her special friends, Donnalee Presnell, Evelyn Chambers, Mike and Linda Hagie and Rick and Kathy Heaton.
The graveside service for Dorothy Stockton Roberson will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 22, in the Roberson Family Cemetery with Rev. Steve Guinn and Rev. Ronald Street officiating. Interment will follow the service. Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Roberson, Roger Whitehead, Allen Henson, Gary Stockton, Greg McKinney and Don Frost. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at the home of her son, Leslie Roberson.
