William Keith Harrison

William Keith Harrison, 55, Watauga, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2010, at his residence.
A native of Avery County, N.C., he was a son of the late Albert and Jessie Elliott Harrison and his step-mother, Florence Harrison. He had lived most of his life in Carter County.
Keith was a 1980 graduate of Elizabethton High School. He served in the United States Army. He was a retired roofer and was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents and step-mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Albert Conley Harrison, and a step-brother, James Parlier.
Survivors include his sons, William Harrison and wife Kelly, Johnson City, and Daniel Harrison and wife Jessica, Elizabethton; four grandchildren: Makayla, Ethan, Caelyn, Gabriel and soon to be Isabelle Grace; his sister: Audrey Edney and husband John, Johnson City; and two special friends, Mitch Bowers and Larry Hughes.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 9, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Gene Fleenor officiating. Interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active allbearers will be Daniel Harrison, Mitch Bowers, Larry Hughes, Steve Hopson, Robert Ellis and Sam Moffitt. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Mitch Bowers, Larry Hughes, Dr. Keith Cook and the staff of Mountain States Hospice for the friendship and excellent care that Keith received.
