Roan Street Free Will
Roan Street Free Will Baptist Church will have a song service during the 11 a.m. worship service Sunday. Featured will be the group “Called Out” from Johnson City.

Holly Springs
Holly Springs Free Will Baptist Church will have homecoming Sunday.
The Holston River Boys from Abingdon, Va., will sing at the 10 a.m. service and the Rev. Charlie Trivette will preach at the 11 a.m. worship service. Lunch will follow in the church fellowship hall.
There will be no evening service.

Laurel Fork Ministry
The Laurel Fork Ministry will have back-to-school clothing boxes next Thursday, Friday and Saturday, August 17, 18 and 19, beside the Hampton Post Office from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Boxes of clothing will be sorted by size and for either a boy or girl.

New Hope Church of Christ
Homecoming will be celebrated Sunday at New Hope Church of Christ, 4527 New Bristol Highway.
No Name But His will sing at the 11 a.m. service after which lunch will be served in the fellowship hall.

Bethlehem Lutheran
“Take A Walk” based on Matt. 14: 22-23 is the sermon theme for Sunday morning worship Aug. 13 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Johnson City.
Morning worship is at 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Communion will be served at both services.

Watauga Point U-M
Watauga Point United Methodist Church, 409 Gap Creek Road, will host its Second Annual Back to School Clothing Give Away Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m.
Clothing will be given on a first come-first serve basis.

First United Methodist
The message “The Footsteps of Beautiful Feet” will be presented Sunday by the pastor, the Rev. Ray Amos, at morning worship at First United Methodist Church of Elizabethton. The sermon text is Rom. 10: 5-15.
The worship service begins at 9:55 a.m. followed by Sunday School at 11:20 a.m.
The Sunday evening Bible study will be at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall as will be the Wednesday evening Life Series study.
The 4:12 Student Ministries (Junior and Senior High students) will meet Sunday from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. in the 4:12 Ministries House. The Coolagers (K-5th grade) will meet Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Coolager Hut.

Central Christian
Mark Garland will present a free community service program Thursday, Aug. 17, at 6 p.m. at Central Christian Church, 106 Main and Fox Streets, Jonesborough.
The focus of the program, Lightening the Load: Stewardship & Peace of Mind through Estate Planning is on wills, what happens if you don’t have a will, trusts, probate, powers of attorney, and advance directives.
Garland, a graduate of Milligan College and Indiana University’s Robert H. McKinney School of Law, will lead the presentation. He is a former administrative judge of the State of Tennessee and current Assistant Professor of Paralegal Studies at Walters State Community College.

CCCMF Meeting
The Carter County Christian Men’s Fellowship will meet Tuesday, Aug. 15, at 7 p.m. at Upper Shell Creek Christian Church, Roan Mountain.
Richard Thomason will be the guest speaker. After the worship and preaching service there will be a time of fellowship.

First Christian
Sunday morning worship at First Christian Church will begin at 9:45 a.m. with Minister Michael Klaus preaching.
The communion meditation will be given by David Shields with Deborah Knapp reading scripture. Special music will be presented by David and Cara Hutton.
Bible School classes are at 11 a.m.
At 12 noon there will be a luncheon for parents and teachers of kids, grades K-5, to discuss upcoming changes in the curriculum and events involving the children’s department.
At the evening service at 6 p.m. an overview will be given of the mission work done this past week by seven members of the mission team who visited in Kentucky.
The Tuesday morning prayer by John Smith will be at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary.
That evening the men of the church will attend the Carter County Christian Men’s Fellowship at Upper Shell Creek Christian Church.
Bible study and prayer will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m. Choir practice will resume at 7 p.m.

The Sacred Journey Quartet and Tim and Sandra Hughes will perform a concert of gospel music Saturday, Aug. 19, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Covered Bridge Park in Elizabethton.

The Rev. Dr. Bryan Wyatt will present the sermon “Loving God” at morning worship Aug. 13 at First Presbyterian Church of Elizabethton.

Unaka Baptist Church will have its monthly Brotherhood Breakfast Saturday from 7 to 10 a.m.

New Liberty
Finley Pearl Deyton, infant daughter of Josh and Jenny Deyton, will be dedicated to the Lord during the Sunday morning worship service at New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church.
The service will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastors Ray Colbaugh and Nick Colbaugh performing the dedication.
Elisha McGee will be baptized during the Sunday evening worship, which begins at 6 p.m. Family and friends of both of these young children are encouraged to support them and their families during these special services.
