Elizabethton’s newest cellular service provider will host a  grand opening celebration this weekend with special deals and a chance to win a special prize.

“We are Suncom Mobile, an authorized retailer of Cricket Wireless,” said store manager Teri Rogers.

The Cricket Wireless store, located at 101 Hudson Drive in the West Town Square Shopping Center, will hold a grand opening on Saturday, August 12, from Noon until 6 p.m.

In addition to special offers with their cellular service plans and phones, the store will be giving away a 50-inch smart television as part of the grand opening celebration.

“We offer a very good service for pre-paid prices,” Rogers said.

Cricket Wireless has nation-wide coverage on a 4G LTE network for cellular service with multiple plans to choose from and no contracts to sign.

“We have five plans to choose from, ranging from 1 gig of data to unlimited,” Rogers said. “We offer inexpensive service plans. Right now we have a deal for two lines for $80 a month with unlimited talk, text, and data.”

Those looking to switch carriers can get a special deal through Cricket Wireless.

“Right now we are offering three models of phones free if you transfer service,” Rogers said. “They can port their number over as long as they have an open active account with another carrier.”

Cricket Wireless carries a variety of cell phone and smart phone brands, including iPhone, Samsung, ZTE, Alcatel, HTC, and LG.

“We do have available the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the iPhone 7 Plus, which are popular models,” Rogers said.

The store also sells cell phone accessories such as cases, microSD cards, and chargers.
