Doris Jeanette Schlenk

Doris Jeanette Schlenk went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, July 30, 2017. She passed away at NHC in Johnson City.
She was born in Johnson City, Tenn., on December 21, 1955. Doris worked as a nurse for 35 years. She was employed at Life Care Center of Elizabethton from 1988-2000. After she graduated from Milligan College in 2000 she moved to Arizona with her husband, William Schlenk, and her mother, Maxie Fleenor.
She was adopted at age 4 by her aunt and uncle, Maxie and Clarence Fleenor. She leaves behind three brothers, Herbert Ray Short, James William Short of North Carolina, and Charles Short of Georgia, and her sister, Annette Campbell of Jonesboro, Tenn.
Survivors also include her son, Eric Dance, her mother and uncle, Maxie Fleenor and Ernie Widener, and her husband, William F. Schlenk.
