Richard R. Bowermaster

Richard R. Bowermaster, 68, of Elizabethton, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2017, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
Richard was a United States Army veteran, having served in the Vietnam Era, and was also a Prisoner of War. He was of the Baptist faith.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 29 years, Judy Bowermaster, of the home; a step-daughter, Kimberli Fitzpatrick and husband Eric Crum, of the home; a son, Mark Bowermaster and his wife, Amanda, of Pennsylvania; a daughter, Jaime Bowermaster, of Florida; six grandsons, Jonah Bowermaster and Elliot Bowermaster, both of Pennsylvania, Christian Bowermaster, Justin Bowermaster, Brandon Bowermaster and Damion Bowermaster, all of Florida; a granddaughter, Bethany Bowermaster, of Florida; one sister, Lucy Morgan, of Ohio; a brother, Gene Bennett, of Ohio; his special canine companion, Piney; and several nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate the life of Richard R. Bowermaster will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton with Mr. Gary Whitehead, minister, officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from noon until 1 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service. The graveside service will follow at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded by the Carter County Honor Guard. Active pallbearers will be selected from family.
