Carter County Schools will be closed on Friday, March 10, and Monday, March 13, due to illness according to Director of Schools Dr. Kevin Ward.
Last month the school system closed for a day due to illness to try to allow time for students and staff to recuperate and for janitorial staff to conduct intense cleanings at the schools.
Ward said attendance numbers have once again declined, not only among students but among staff as well.
