Following a successful campaign in which United Way of Elizabethton/Carter County led the community in raising more than $138,000, applications are now available to community agencies that want to receive funding in 2018. The application process is the first step in becoming an Impact Partner with United Way ECC in their fight for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in Carter County.
Applications are available online. Last year United Way ECC chose seven agencies to receive a monthly allocation of community funds, as well as two agencies to receive a one-time Impact Grant.
Final applications for this year’s campaign are due March 31. In April a committee made up of United Way ECC directors and members of the community will review the applications, hear presentations from the applicants, and make a recommendation as to which agencies should be selected as a partner for the campaign year.
“Our Impact Partners are a vital component of the work we do on behalf of this community,” said Director/Community Impact Coordinator Josh McKinney. “We are proud to work alongside our partners on the frontline of this community’s need, and we are excited to determine who we will partner with in 2018.”
