Milligan included in top 50 ranking for most beautiful Christian colleges, universities

The laundry list of rankings continues to pile up for Milligan College.
The local Christian college was named in Christian Universities Online’s Top 50 Most Beautiful Christian Colleges and Universities” ranking that were recently released. Among hundreds of schools across the nation, Milligan College placed 35 out of 50.
According to the organization’s website, “Christian Universities Online is an independent online resource for prospective students and their families researching Christian higher education … you will find rankings and review of the best Christian college and universities, information about Christian scholarships and financial aid, and many other resources to help students not only find the right Christian school, but get into, pay for, and thrive at it as well.”
The ranking methodology focuses on schools that are members of member eligible for the Council for Christian College and Universities (CCCU). The report added that schools were evaluated in four different categories:
• continuity of campus
• architectural style
• signature building(s)
• natural setting
The recent acknowledgement means a lot to the Buffalo community, according to Milligan College President Dr. Bill Greer.
“We are pleased to be ranked among the 50 Most Beautiful Christian College and Universities in the nation,” he said. “The beauty of our campus and the surrounding region is something that draws students and their families to Milligan and keeps our alumni returning year after year.”
It has been a busy year for the college. Milligan recently celebrated the 150th anniversary of being a school this month. Among other accolades, the school was ranked No. 2 by BestColleges.com as the best university or college within the state with Vanderbilt University taking the top spot.
