Corine Phillips

Corine Phillips, 82, of Jonesborough, formerly of Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late James and Lucy Ruth Holly Buckles.
Corine was a graduate of Elizabethton High School. She was a retired Sales Lady at Sears, having worked there for over 20 years. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Elizabethton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, J.D. Phillips, and a brother, Patrick Buckles.
Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Roberta and Bob Hughes, Elizabethton; her sister-in-law, Debbie Buckles, Elizabethton; and several cousins, including a special cousin, Natasha Brumit, and her children, Harper and Wyatt.
Funeral services for Corine Phillips will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 29, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Gerald Holly, minister, officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday to go to the cemetery.
