William Christopher McKinney Davis

William Christopher McKinney Davis, 36, of Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016, at Johnson City Medical Center.
He was born in Tampa, Fla., but had spent most of his life in Carter County. He was a Certified Water Proofer and a Hardwood Installer. He was a member of First Christian Church of Elizabethton.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Martha Vines Guinn and George Herbert McKinney.
Survivors include his mother, Tammy Collins, of the home; his father and step-mother, Bill and Peggy Davis, Tampa, Fla.; his paternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Rena Smith and husband Charles, Brandon, Fla.; his brother, William Shane Davis and wife Jennifer Campbell Davis, Elizabethton; a sister, Jennifer Davis Baysinger and husband Jason, Jonesborough; and his special niece and nephew, Tristan Sage Davis and Aspen Lane Davis.
A memorial service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Roy Lowe and Pastor L.C. Tester officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at the home of his mother. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of ICU at Sycamore Shoals, the doctors and staff of 2700 Wing, Critical Care, Johnson City Medical Center, Brenda Davidson, Roy and Robin Lowe and all his many friends and family.
