Dean W. Mackie, 53, of Elizabethton, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 17, 2016.
He leaves behind his love, Penny Ritchie Mackie; a daughter, Deanna R. Mackie-Smith; and a stepson, Matthew Taylor. He also leaves four grandchildren, Katelynn, Colton, Collin and Chayse, and a sister, Jonnie Grindstaff.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the Carter County Rescue Squad and the doctors and nurses in the ER of Sycamore Shoals Hospital for their great care.
A gathering of friends will be received on Saturday, August 20, at The First Church of the Nazarene Fellowship Hall between 7 and 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carter County Rescue Squad.
