Carolyn Ford Lippo

On the 26th day of June 2016, Carolyn Ford Lippo died peacefully in Jacksonville, Fla., her home for the last 58 years. She was born in Saltville, Va., July 31, 1935, to her parents, the late Marvin and Ruby Ford. Her younger years were spent in Elizabethton, Tenn.
Mrs. Lippo graduated from Western Kentucky University where she met and married her husband, Joseph Wiley Lippo Jr., of Bristol, Tenn. As a piano teacher for over 50 years, she served as an officer for Local, State and National Professional Organizations; as an organist she served Lutheran Churches many years of her performance career; and was proprietor of her own music store.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Joseph; two sons, Joseph Wiley III and Michael Ford Lippo; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
The graveside service will be held in the Lippo Family Plot, Shelby Hills Cemetery, Bristol, Tenn., at 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, with the Rev. Brad Palmer officiating. Online condolences may be registered at www.weaverfuneralhome.net.
