Stephen “Kirk” Davis, 49, of Erwin, passed away Friday, May 13, 2016, at his residence. He was born March 9, 1967 in Alexander, La., but had lived in Tennessee for several years.
Prior to his illness, Kirk was a cook, carpet layer and floor finisher. He attended Oak Grove Christian Church. He loved to play the guitar and fish.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jean Monroe Davis; a granddaughter, Hannah Paige Townsend; a brother; Brian Keith Davis; and his grandparents, Arthur J. and Betty Murray.
Survivors include his daughter, April Townsend, Elizabethton; a granddaughter, Avery Amor Tinoco; his mother, Grace Murray Davis Laws, Hampton; a sister, Patsy Woodson, Hampton; a brother, Shane Laws, Elizabethton; and his partner, Amy Morton.
A memorial service for Stephen “Kirk” Davis will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at Oak Grove Christian Church with the Rev. Buddy Street officiating.
