Donna Jean Fridley Woodson

Donna Jean Fridley Woodson, 60, of Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at her residence with her family by her side. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and family. She was loved by everyone and will be missed deeply.
Donna was a native of Allaghany County, Va. She had lived in Elizabethton for the past 25 years. She had lived in the Clifton Forge Area of Virginia for 35 years and was a 1974 graduate of the Allaghany County High School. She was of the Baptist Faith.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clinton Caldwell Fridley, in 1997.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Gary Woodson; a daughter, Marlena (Michael) Grindstaff, Elizabethton; a grandson, Mason Grindstaff; a granddaughter, Mallory Grindstaff; her mother, Mildred Fridley, Clifton Forge, Va.; and her siblings, Clinton Fridley Jr., Covington, Va., Brenda Lewis, Clifton Forge, Va., Perry (Wanda) Fridley, Elizabethton, Wesley Fridley and Brent Billheimer, Johnson City, Barry (Lisa) Fridley, Fincastle, Va., Danny (Jackie) Fridley, Randall (Stephanie) Fridley, Linda (Joe) Stinnett, Lisa (Kenny) Dilley and Penny Fridley, all of Eagle Rock, Va., Kevin (Melinda) Fridley, Elizabethton, Patrick (Melissa) Fridley, Buchanan, Va., Terrie (Robert) Hippert, Selma, Va., Laura (Jeff) Humphreys, Covington, Va., and Loren Fridley and Will Spradlin, Knoxville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to celebrate the life of Donna Woodson was held on Friday at 7 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Jimbo Duncan officiating. Graveside services and interment were at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 23, in the Garland Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Shane Fridley, Will Spradlin, Michael Grindstaff, Kevin Fridley, Kenny Dilley and Bobby Hippert.
