Mary Kate Reece Estep, 85, of Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Hillview Nursing Center.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late McDonald and Myrtle Reece.
Mrs. Estep was retired from East Tennessee Undergarment Factory. She was a member of Roan Street Church of God where she had served as a Sunday School teacher for several years. She was an excellent seamstress.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy K. Estep, who died December 14, 2003; a sister, Maude Farthing; and a brother, Donald Reece.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Stephanie Estep, Morristown, and Glen and Barbara Estep, Johnson City; a brother-in-law, Carl Estep, Elizabethton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mary Kate Reece Estep will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ken Bewley officiating. Music will be provided by Sue Tinker and Gene Estep, organist. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be her church family. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday to go to the cemetery.
