Howard Junior Davis, 67, of Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at Life Care Center of Elizabethton.
A native of Mitchell County, N.C., he was a son of the late Brown and Nola Blackburn Davis. He had lived in Elizabethton for the past 25 years.
Mr. Davis was retired as a mobile home transporter. He loved camping and fishing. He was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Davis; a son, Michael Davis; a sister, Lois Martin; and a brother, Ed Davis.
Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl, state of Washington; a son, Brian Davis, state of Washington; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; six brothers, Charlie Davis, Beuladean, N.C., Wayne Davis, Forks, Wash., Johnny Davis and wife Myra Ann, Watauga, Jimmy Davis and wife Judy of North Carolina, Ronnie Davis and wife Patricia, Bluff City, and Jackie Davis, Elizabethton; and three sisters, Betty Mayhew and husband Don, state of Washington, Joyce Anderson, Birchwood, Tenn., and Kathy Nunn and husband Dewey, Jellico, Tenn.
Graveside services for Howard Junior Davis will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 12, in the Sunrise Cemetery, Bluff City, with the Rev. David Wriglesworth officiating. Interment will follow the service. Active pallbearers will be Johnny Davis, Ronnie Davis, Jackie Davis, Jimmy Garland, Edward Garland and Doris Rumley. Friends may visit with the family at the residence of a brother, Ronnie Davis, 1580 Chinquapin Grove Road, Bluff City, at any time.
