Hampton’s FBLA team wins at regional conference

Members of Hampton High School’s Future Business Leaders of America recently competed at the regional conference and earned the right to advance to the state conference competition later this year.


Members of Hampton High School’s Future Business Leaders of America recently captured honors at a regional competition and qualified to head to the state leadership conference later this year.
On Jan. 28, members of the Hampton FBLA took part in the FBLA Regional Leadership Conference held at East Tennessee State University.
“These students competed with schools east of Knoxville, a total of 28 schools and represented Hampton High School in a very professional manner,” said Lisa Jenkins, faculty sponsor of Hampton’s FBLA team. “These students now qualify to participate in the state leadership conference in Chattanooga this April.”
The following students from Hampton High placed in the FBLA Regional Leadership conference:
• Hanah Brumitt and Chris Timmons earned 5th place honors for Sports & Entertainment Management.
• Philip Arrington captured 4th place honors for Computer Problem Solving.
• Hope Jackson won 2nd place honors for Economics.
• Coby Jones, Jake Lyons and Jared Wiltshire earned 2nd place honors for Entrepreneurship.
• Daniel Matheson won 2nd place honors for FBLA Principles and Procedures.
• Caley Blevins captured 1st place honors for FBLA Principles and Procedures.
• Allie Arrington, Brooklyn Ashley and Taylor Laughers brought home 1st place honors for Hospitality Management.
