Heather Carol Barnett, 44, of Kingsport, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016, at Holston Valley Medical Center.
Heather was a native of Washington County. She was a 1989 graduate of Happy Valley High School and presently was attending Northeast State at Kingsport. She was a member of Sinking Creek Baptist Church.
Heather was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Barnett.
Survivors include a daughter, Kourtney Carriger, Johnson City; her parents, Richard and Claudette Barnett, Johnson City; and her maternal grandmother, Mary Ruth Toney, Johnson City.
A graveside service for Heather Carol Barnett will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, February 12, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Dr. Alan King officiating. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Friday, will be Rob Toney, Ryan Toney, Bill Barnett, Jerry Barnett, Ben Hale and Jeff Matherly. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to family and friends, Dr. Alan King, the church family of Zion Baptist Church and Buddy Brown.
