Roy Lee Dugger

Roy Lee Dugger, 59, of 300 Nelson Avenue, Piney Flats, Tenn., fell asleep unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at Johnson City Medical Center and is awaiting the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Roy was born in Warren, Ohio, a son of the late William Denver Dugger and Frances Jane Carver Dugger.
Roy retired as a warehouse supervisor for the City of Elizabethton and was a faithful follower of The Way International Biblical Research and Teaching Ministry. He was an avid fisherman and longtime member of the Elks Club.
Roy loved people and enjoyed having yard sales.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Janice Miller Dugger, of the home; his son, Joshua Dugger, of Johnson City; one stepson, Brad Miller, of Limestone; two stepdaughters, Kathryn “Angie” Nelson and husband Drew, of Quincy, Ill., and Kimberly Thomas and husband Tony, of New Knoxville, Ohio; four grandchildren, Arianna, Christian, Cameron and Joseph; one brother, Bill Dugger and wife Betty, of Hampton; and two sisters, Wanda Tester and husband Dickie, of Hampton, and Bertha Shell, of Jonesborough. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service to honor the life of Roy Lee Dugger will be conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday, December 27, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. Jack Diers officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Sunday, prior the service, or at the residence at anytime.
