Jack W. Nave Jr., 64, of Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Jack W. Nave Sr. and Roxiedean Anderson Nave.
Jack was a 1968 graduate of Elizabethton High School and attended Steed College. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a plumber, welder and medical tech.
Jack loved to be in the mountains or near the water, the ocean and sand between his toes. He was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Toni Gail Nave.
Survivors include a daughter, Paula Dean Nave, Carter County; his grandchildren, Katelyn Paige, Brooklyn Nevaeh, Ethan Wayne, Chealsey Ann and Robby Lewis Nave; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda Dean and Keith Bowers, Elizabethton; a nephew, Keith Bowers Jr.; and a niece, Diana Bowers.
Graveside services for Jack W. Nave Jr. will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Wesley Heath, Rick Peters, Alan Ensor, Keith Bowers, Lowell Markland, Eugene Fortner, James Berry and Rick Hatley. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Military Honors will be provided by the Carter County Honor Guard.
