Eleanor “Sue” Woods Webb

Mrs. Eleanor “Sue” Woods Webb, 79, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went to meet her beloved husband in Heaven on Monday, November 2, 2015, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following a brief illness. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late William Garce and Carrie Greenway Woods. She was a graduate of Elizabethton High School, Class of 1955.
“Sue” was a former employee of Iodent Chemical Corporation, Elizabethton, and Thor Tools in Watauga. She was a member of Borderview Christian Church and attended Central Community Christian Church.
Mrs. Webb was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Webb; six brothers, William Woods, George Woods, Glen Woods, Jack Woods, Howell Woods and Kyle “Tip” Woods; and two sisters, Virginia Wood and Lois Beasley.
Survivors include a brother, Harry Woods and wife Linda, Elizabethton; sisters-in-law, Ruth Webb, Piney Flats, Barbara Powell, Virginia Beach, Va., and Juanita Woods, Bluff City; a brother-in-law, Don Beasley, Elizabethton; nephews, Mike Wood and wife Vanessa, Church Hill, Job Woods and wife Kim, Bluff City, Howell Woods, wife Donna, Elizabethton, and David Powell and wife Maggie, Virginia Beach, Va.; and nieces, Pat Muncie and husband Gerald, Blountville, Valerie Carroll and husband Del, Gray, Lisa Tester and husband Mark, Watauga, and Dr. Mary Beth Beasley and husband Dr. Glenn Rudner of New York. Several great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great-nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Mrs. Eleanor “Sue” Woods Webb will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 7, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Mr. Todd Wolfe and Mr. Scott Fisher, ministers, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 until 2 p.m. Saturday, prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow the funeral service at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Steve Burrough Jr., Dustin Buckles, Raymond Tester, Mike Williams, Scott Reynolds and Mark Tester. Honorary pallbearers will be Del Carroll and Gerald Muncie.
