Davie Wayne Ensor, 55, of Elizabethton, born September 22, 1960 at Eglin Air Force Base, Fort Walton Beach, Fla., went on to be with the love of his life, Debbie Kay Peters Ensor, and his Lord on Saturday, October 24, 2015.
Davie was a 1979 graduate of Unaka High School. He served in the United States Navy. He worked as a Surveyor with Iron Mountain Surveyors.
Davie was an avid UT fan and an animal lover. He had two loving dogs, Booboo and Teddy, that he rescued. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include his parents, Charles “Cobby” and Patricia Lehman Ensor, Elizabethton; his siblings, Debbie and her husband Teddy Cable and their daughters, Shauna, Megan and Crystal and their families, Charles “Happy” and Denise Ensor and their sons, Ben and Jordan Ensor and their families, Pamela and Billy Espinoza and their daughters, Jessica and Louisa and their families, Laura and husband Todd Price and their daughter Katlyn; and his special friends, Falisha Grindstaff Grayson and Larry Lancaster, Tony Bishop and many friends in Jacksonville, Fla.
A memorial service for Davie Wayne Ensor will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, October 29, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Brian Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service. Please wear your UT fan apparel to the visitation and memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted to help with funeral expenses. It was his wish to be cremated.
