Betty Jo Clark Berry

Betty Jo Clark Berry, 74, of Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at her residence.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Maggie Cable Clark.
Mrs. Berry was a retired textile worker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, McArthur “Mack” Berry, who died July 26, 2015; a daughter, Kathy Slaughter; a sister, Earnestine Tolley; and two brothers, Elmer and Roscoe Clark.
Survivors include a daughter, Anita Hathaway, Johnson City; three grandchildren, Amanda and Samantha Hathaway and Sierra Oaks; two great-grandchildren, Travis Bunten and Trinity Hathaway; and three sisters, Bernice Harrell, Manchester, Tenn., Anna Mae Grafton, Leesburg, Fla., and Iva Lee Morgan, Roan Mountain. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service for Betty Jo Clark Berry will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, October 29, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Gary Whitehead officiating. The graveside service and interment will be at 1:45 p.m. Friday, October 30, in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Friday, will be Walley Sparks, Cody Granger, John Dunn, Jeff Johnson, Roger Julian and John Perry. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at her residence.
