OAKDALE—The Cloudland Highlanders were able to fight back from a 14-6 deficit to defeat Oakdale 30-28 Friday night in a close conference match up.
The Highlanders were able to take the lead with Noah Arnett rushing in a touchdown, after Colby Birchfield tied the game up with a touchdown of his own.
Austin Whitehead finished the night with two touchdowns on 78 yards rushing. He also had an interception. Birchfield finished with 84 yards rushing, while Arnett closed out the game with 56 yards.
The Highlanders will host Avery County next Friday.
