DALTON, Ga. (Aug. 25, 2015) – Despite controlling the majority of the second half, the Milligan College men’s soccer team could not break through with a goal, and fell to Dalton State College 3-0Tuesday night.

Milligan fell to 0-3 on the season, while Dalton State notched its second victory of the year to bring its record to 2-0-1.

Milligan allowed three first-half goals, one in the 5th minute, and the next two in the 25th and 35th minutes respectively, before outshooting the Roadrunners in the second half and nearly converting on good scoring opportunities.

Such opportunities included numerous corner kicks, a couple of shots that went off the post, and others which required athletic saves by the Dalton State goalkeeper and defensive backline.

Next up, Milligan will return home to Anglin Field to welcome Faulkner University Saturday at 6:15 p.m.
