Lester R. Estep

Lester R. Estep, 65, SFC (Retired), of Johnson City, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Lester served in the United States Army for 23 years. He served during the Vietnam Era. He was of the Free Will Baptist Faith.
Lester was preceded in death by his father, Johnson Estep; three brothers, Leonard, Vernon and Edward Estep, and one sister, Anna Mae Burgess.
Survivors include his wife, Hae-Kyong Shin Estep; one daughter, Hannah Estep; one son, Daniel Estep; his mother, Eileen Taylor Estep; and one sister, Burless Campbell. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside services for Lester R. Estep will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, in the Mountain Home National Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Grindstaff officiating. Interment will follow the service. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence of his mother, Eileen Estep, 1404 Garden Road, Elizabethton. Military Honors will be provided by the Tennessee National Guard.
