Tracy Dale Hardin

Tracy Dale Hardin, 45, of Elizabethton, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 2, 2015, at his residence.
Tracy was known to many friends as T Man. He was born March 7, 1970 in the old Carter County Memorial Hospital. Tracy was a 1989 graduate of Unaka High School where he was chosen All-State in football, and led Unaka to State Playoffs in his senior year. He was an avid sports fan who in the past had coached T-ball. He was also a softball umpire.
Tracy was employed in the construction business as a millwright and pipefitter. He was also a former part owner of Volunteer Fence. He was of the Baptist Faith and attended Oak Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Wendi Jo Hardin, of the home; a son, Jonathon “JonJon” Hardin and wife Kimberly, Elizabethton; a granddaughter, Skilar Hardin; his parents, John and Janice Blackburn Hardin; two brothers, Tony Wayne Hardin, Elizabethton, and Travis John Hardin, Beaverton, Ore.; a special aunt, Brenda VanHuss; special uncles, Joe Hardin and Dean Whitely; a number of nieces, nephews, great-uncles, aunts and cousins; and several special friends and past teammates.
A memorial service for Tracy Dale Hardin will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Gary Edwards, Mr. Jerry Stout and the Rev. Nathan Jennings officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be his ex-teammates, baseball, softball and football players, the 1989 graduating class, coaches and friends of Unaka High School and his church family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor’s favorite charity. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
