Clifford Monroe “Bo” Hatley

Clifford Monroe “Bo” Hatley, 56, of Bluff City, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Bo was a native of Carter County and a 1977 graduate of Elizabethton High School. He was retired due to disability as a Millwright from Daniels Construction Company. He was a member of Roan Street Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Jack Hatley; two brothers, Larry Mack and Jeffery Joseph Hatley; his paternal grandparents, James Monroe and Roxie Mae Pierce Hatley; and his maternal grandparents, Clifford Champ and Katie Olivine White.
Survivors include the love of his life, Kathy Hatley; his mother, Margaret White Hatley, Elizabethton; two step-daughters, Tina Pendergrass and Rebecca “Becky” Leonard; two step-granddaughters and a step-great-grandson; and his brothers and sisters, Gary Wayne Hatley and wife Judy, Terry “Stoney” Hatley, Jerry “Roy” Hatley, John Hatley, Lora “Sis” Bowman and husband Billy, all of Elizabethton, and Rev. Mark Hatley and wife Geri, Newport, Tenn. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles also survive.
Funeral services for Clifford Monroe “Bo” Hatley will be conducted at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 17, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ken Bewley and the Rev. Mark Hatley officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at noon Monday, May 18, in the Whitehead Cemetery, Butler. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of ICU, Johnson City Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence of his mother, Margaret Hatley. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:50 a.m. Monday to go to the cemetery.
