Harold Dean “Buddy” Taylor, 72, Holt Court, Greeneville, died Monday, May 11, 2015, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Taylor was of the Baptist faith and was retired. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Annalee Taylor; two brothers, Billy Taylor and Richard Taylor; and two sisters, Emily Taylor and Vada Jo Devoti.
Survivors include a daughter, Deana Stephens; a brother, Dennis W. Laws; nieces, Renée Pickering, Ingrid Kirk, Amy Boykin, Jennifer Choken and Jeanine Franklin; a nephew, Zane Taylor; a grandchild; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 14, from the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Jan Leffers and Rev. Roger Hayley officiating. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 15, at Andrew Johnson National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. The Greene County Honor Guard will conduct a military graveside service.
