Mae Lewis Nave, 84, of Elizabethton, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2015, at Hermitage Health Center, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Nave was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Albert and Sally Bowers Lewis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ruff Lewis, Brady Lewis and Ray Lewis, and a sister, Barbara Lewis.
Mrs. Nave was a homemaker and a member of Doe River Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Quinn Nave, of the home; a son, John Nave, Elizabethton; a grandson, Brett Michael Nave, Athens, Ga.; and a brother, Worley Lewis and wife Wanda, Knoxville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor the life of Mrs. Mae Lewis Nave will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. Daniel Fink officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 1 until 2 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service. The graveside service will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park.
