Hattie Coleman Clark

Hattie Coleman Clark, 83, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness.
A native of Unicoi County, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Wm. “Will” and Lizzie Brummett Coleman.
Mrs. Clark was co-owner/operator of Clark’s Cabinet Works and was a homemaker and a farmer. She attended Green Mountain Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed bowling, gardening, studying her Bible, music and her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Hiram E. Clark; brothers, Lloyd “Bud,” Martin, Cecil, Ray, Chrisley and Ralph; and sisters, Mabel and Myrtle.
Survivors include a sister, Jennie Lloyd, Yorktown, Va., and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
A service to honor the life of Hattie Coleman Clark will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. Danny Blevins officiating. Music will be under the direction of family and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service, or at the residence of a niece, Rita Russell, 305 Jim Elliott Road, Elizabethton, at any time. The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 22, at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Special friends are Teddy and Bonnie Sims, Jim and Georgia Ameigh, John Froggatt, Benny Buck and her faithful companion, Rusty. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Thursday for the graveside service.
