ELIZABETHTON — Ronnie Yvonne Rhea, 67, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness.
Ronnie was a member of Happy Valley Baptist Church and loved the Lord.
Ronnie was a lifelong welder as he was a member of the Local 538 Pipe Fitters Union. He loved fishing and golfing and was an asset to his community.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Myra Rhea; brother, James Rhea; and sisters, Nora Pritchard, Rhonda Welch, Janice Hilton, Billie Holtzclaw, Phyllis France, Lucille Carriger and Bobbie Pritchard.
He is survived by his wife, Fran Rhea; son, Eddie Shadwick; brother, Don Rhea; sister, Sara Rhea; several nieces and nephews; and special nieces, Debbie Lee and Theresa Hilton.
Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Happy Valley Baptist Church, Elizabethton. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. at Happy Valley Baptist Church, Elizabethton, with Rev. John Perkins officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
