Gladys Oliver, 84, of Elizabethton, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at her residence. She was a daughter of the late Dana and Anna Nidiffer Oliver of Elizabethton, Tenn. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Edith Oliver, Pauline Garrison and Utah Hyder; two brothers, Earl and Roby Oliver; and a nephew, Kerry Richardson.
Ms. Oliver was a member of Nidiffer Chapel Church.
She is survived by two nephews, Jerry Hyder and wife Barbara and Keith Oliver, all of Elizabethton, Tenn.; great-nephews, Ryan and Cody Oliver of Elizabethton, Tenn., Jeremy and Terry Sneed of Kingsport, Tenn., Jason, Justin and Jarrod Hyder of Elizabethton, Tenn.; and nieces, Judy Richardson and husband Roger of Elizabethton, Tenn., and Debbie Sneed and husband Ron of Kingsport, Tenn.
The graveside service and interment for Gladys Oliver will be conducted at 12 p.m. Friday, December 26, in the Bowers Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Watson officiating. Active pallbearers will be Jason Hyder, Justin Hyder, Jarrod Hyder, Ryan Oliver, Cody Oliver, Roger Richardson, Ron Sneed and Bosco Canter. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at Bowers Cemetery at 11:45 a.m. Friday. Friends may call at the home at anytime.
